My week away from the studio
My week away from school and the studio: Spent some much needed time with family, went to the Liberty Science Center with my god-son Hudson, celebrated Jen's birthday! and went to the Eco-Ball and ate some great food, saw the Whitney Biennial (and actually enjoyed much of it this year), strolled through Central Park, signed up for my first marathon (Baltimore - OCT 16, 2010), started running again (goes hand-in-hand with the marathon), saw Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer, heard some great family stories over late-night food from the diner, was reminded how amazing my friends are, wrote my first mid-term paper in over 15 years, returned to the studio and took photos of my last 3 paintings...

These are all great, but I particularly like the second painting. Because of all the layers and lines, I could look at it for a while and still see something new.
